At long last! Cannon seems to have met his match in the coldly-pragmatic department.

I distinctly recall drawing the first panel, because it was the first time I really realized that I was capable of playing with style. Not that I'm amazing or anything, just that it had never really occurred to me as something *I* might be able to do. It was exciting. I highly recommend trying out different drawing styles, but ONLY AFTER learning the fundamentals. It bugs me to no end when people try to start drawing by aping a style, thinking they can just skip over proportions and perspective. You have to learn the rules before you can bend them properly.
Once you know the basics, however, it can be a really useful creative exercise.

I'm playing around with the idea of each character having their own flashback style. It could pose an interesting challenge when two characters are telling a story together...

Bonus points to anyone who recognizes the two references in panel one!
